Wedding Weekend

    There are a couple paid parking options at the venue. Please check out our Travel page for more parking details!

    If you are staying at the UBS campus hotel, the walk to the venue is about 10 min. There are some stairs and slight inclines on that route. So if you are wearing heels, maybe consider wearing more comfortable shoes for the walk and change into the heels at the venue. We will have a storage area for extra belongings, like shoes.

  • Unfortunately, parking is fairly limited next to the venue. If all parking near the venue is taken, you can park at UBC Rose Garden Parkade which is about a 4 min walk from the venue.

    If you are staying at a hotel on the UBC campus, you’ll be just a 10 min walk from the venue!

  • Yes, the ceremony will take place on a lawn behind the house. Dinner will be outside on the patio, and depending on the weather, space heaters will be available. Cocktail hour and the rest of the reception will be indoors.

  • Yes! The wedding venue has a place to hang up coats and store extra items inside of the house, so feel free to wear the heels AND bring the back-up shoes to swap into.

  • All good parties have to end. We have the venue booked until 1:00am, but with clean-up and vendor pick-ups we’ll be saying our goodbyes around 12am.

  • Please mention any food allergies on your RSVP. Already submitted your RSVP?

Vancouver

  • United States to Canada

    • Average wait time is usually 5-30 min during non-peak hours.

    • Wait time can spike to about an hour around rush hour on weekdays between 3:00pm - 7:00pm.

    Canada to United States

    • We’ve experienced a range of wait times. Usually it takes about 30min, but we have had to wait up to 2 hours due to a gate delay.

  • Flashing green traffic lights indicate a pedestrian-controlled light.

    According to the ICBC licensing handbook, drivers should only proceed if the intersection is clear of pedestrians.

    The light will turn red if triggered by a pedestrian trying to cross the street.

  • A couple factors played into our decision for a Wedding in Canada. Mainly, British Columbia has a special place in our hearts, especially after Chris proposed on a trip to Victoria.

    We also found that most venues in Vancouver were more affordable than many of the PNW venues we toured.

    Lastly, over half of our guests are driving from Washington, so it ended up being a shorter trip for most attendees to go to Vancouver, BC vs driving down to Portland.
